The Need for a Hub

The Need for a Hub

There are many event venues across the country, each more well-equipped and popular than the next. Co-sharing work spaces are not a new concept, either. So, then, what drove us to create the Hub as a platform for art and technology? The answer involves a closer look at the nature of the events and offices. We have, unfortunately, created a culture of apathy and alienation that regularly pits us against each other and makes us afraid of others just like us. At poetry and music events, we speak of grand ideas of harmony and love, and yet we know that those right outside the doors of the venue (such as auto drivers, street vendors, curious little underprivileged children) do not have access to the happiness we are partaking of. We bring our laptops to work, and indulge in customary greetings, but it is rare for us to share ideas with other companies or individuals working in the same room. At The Happy Hub, we hope to bring together people and expand the idea of ‘happiness’ from something encashable and personal, to something collective and inclusive. Meet an impoverished artist and offer to help them with getting recognition. Or brainstorm with complete strangers to find ways of making literacy reach everyone. Let’s start discussions and see where we reach, TOGETHER!
